About the project

“Feel, Listen, Grow” is a youth exchange that helps young people get better at receiving criticism and using it as a tool for personal, learning and professional growth. Many young people experience feedback as a personal attack, which can hold back their confidence, relationships and opportunities. The project gives participants practical tools for emotional resilience, active listening, empathy and constructive conflict management.

Aims

Recognise and understand your emotional reactions to criticism, building awareness and resilience.
Strengthen active listening and empathy for better interpersonal and intercultural communication.
Learn practical methods for constructive feedback and conflict resolution.
Promote inclusion, with participants from different cultural and social backgrounds, including young people with fewer opportunities.
Become ambassadors of empathetic communication and constructive dialogue in your local community.

Activities

The exchange runs in three connected phases – FEEL (emotional awareness: theatre games, a daily “reaction diary”, mindfulness and body-awareness exercises), LISTEN (empathy and active listening: mirror-listening, the “three circles” workshop, role plays) and GROW (constructive feedback and dialogue: simulations of job interviews, family discussions and social disagreements, the “feedback sandwich”). Together the group will create a digital toolkit and a role-play guide.

The method is non-formal education: learning by doing, peer exchange and reflection. Phones are used only after 20:00 to keep everyone present.
